The energy terror of the Russian Federation continues: Ukrenergo named regions with a critical situation

Share: On October 23, hourly power outages were introduced in a number of regions in Ukraine due to damage to power grids as a result of Russian shelling. Consumption remains high, so people are asked to limit the use of high-powered appliances until 11 p. m. According to "Ukrenergo", due to network damage in some regions, hourly outage schedules are in operation. Energy experts ask to use electricity sparingly and not to overload the system in the evening.

Parts of the Kharkiv and Chernihiv regions were left without power due to strikes on energy facilities. "Energy will do everything possible to restore the operation of the damaged equipment as soon as possible. Emergency restoration work begins as soon as the safety of the situation allows," the post reads. Moreover, as a result of the massive attack on October 22 and October 23 from 07:00 to 23:00 in 12 regions, hourly shutdowns of up to three hours are introduced at the same time.

For industries and businesses, power restrictions are also in place at this time to stabilize the system. As of the morning of October 23, electricity consumption remained at the level of the previous day. Yesterday's maximum consumption was in the evening and was 7. 1% lower than on October 21, due to the application of blackout schedules in some regions.

In addition, the Minister of Energy Svitlana Grynchuk reported on the air of the telethon that on October 23, Russian troops again attacked Ukrainian energy facilities, in particular in the Sumy, Chernihiv, Dnipropetrovsk and Kharkiv regions. Rescue workers and teams of energy workers are working on the ground, performing emergency and restoration work around the clock.

According to Grynchuk, "Russia's energy terror continues practically every day," and the country is ready to respond promptly to any damage. "Ukrenergo" reminds that economical use of electricity is important. If there is light, you should limit the use of powerful appliances until 11:00 p. m. and follow updates on oblenergo websites and pages, as the situation may change during the day.
