German Chancellor Olaf Scholtz stated on August 23 that his country plans to transfer additional weapons to Ukraine worth more than 500 million euros. About it reports Reuters with reference to the source. The agency's interlocutor said that Berlin wants to transfer three Iris-T, a dozen armored evacuation machines, 20 missile units, high-precision ammunition and drone control systems to Ukraine. Video of the day, according to Reuters, weapons will be provided in 2023, but possibly before.

The Budget Committee of the German Parliament has yet to approve the deliveries that Scholz called "a contribution to the modernization of the Armed Forces of Ukraine". On August 21, German Chancellor assured that Ukraine will soon receive the promised IRIS-T air defense systems and the Cobra counter-bacdyar radar station. Die Welt reported that the German government has been ignoring Ukraine's request for additional arms supply for several months.
