"Air Defense Revolution": What will Ukraine joint with the US project Frankensam (video)

Military expert Ivan Kirichevsky said that the Pentagon had transferred technologies to Ukraine for hundreds of millions of dollars. In the future, they will help to completely protect the big cities. The United States transmits Ukraine technologies to Frankensam to update Soviet air defense complexes that can protect several large cities in the future. Ivan Kirichevsky said this on December 7 on December 7 on the Espresso TV.

"The Frankensam project involves the adaptation of the Soviet anti-aircraft missile complexes and missiles that could already end under American missiles, which may be enough," he explained. The expert gave an example that the Buk complexes under the AIM-7 missiles adapt. "They may have a little worse characteristics than Soviet missiles, but they are," Kirichevsky emphasized. According to him, the AIM-7 can be knocked out "Shahda", winged rockets and air targets near the front line.

The expert said that having starting installations is not enough. Weapons need to be serviced. "And it was for this Pentagon that they conveyed these technologies," Kirichevsky explained. He stressed that within the US Frankensam, the United States is transferring technologies to tens of technologies, and possibly hundreds of millions of dollars. "Frankensam's project is in principle a revolution in the field of air defense.

Because no one was doing serial adaptation of American missiles to Soviet complexes, there were only separate point projects in Eastern European countries that were not implemented," the expert said. At the same time, Ukraine, in his words, has already implemented such a project and will soon have a structure for servicing the Soviet complexes. Kirichevsky suggested that in the future it will help to completely protect from the attacks several largest cities.

Recall that the Frankensam project appeared at the end of last year. Ukraine appealed to US partners to help find missiles for the beech complexes. Experts decided that it would be easier to upgrade the technique for the projectiles of the Nativ sample. On December 6, the White House reported that the Pentagon and the US industrial partners handed over technical documentation to Ukraine to produce Frankensam air defense systems.
