Colonel Manko "lit up" the maps on TikTok: the reaction of the Armed Forces of Ukraine regarding their secrecy appeared

Share: Valentyn Manko, the head of the command of the assault units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, published on his TikTok account a photo showing maps with markings along the front line. The disclosure of classified information outraged Ukrainians, but the Armed Forces denied the accusations against the colonel. The Armed Forces do not believe that Manko disclosed classified information.

This was stated by the Main Department of Communication of the Armed Forces of Ukraine at the request of "Suspilny" on October 31. The military conducted a professional analysis of the published photos and found that the maps do not reveal the spatial or temporal indicators of the operations of the Defense Forces. It is also not clear from them which units participated in the battles.

"The information displayed on the schematic maps does not provide for the leakage of information with limited access, including in connection with a significant delay in the time of their publication," the department assured. The Armed Forces explained that the officer's post does not contain critical or sensitive information.

It also does not reveal data that could be used by Russian intelligence, which would lead to losses in the Defense Forces, the disclosure of command plans or the position of defenders. We will remind you that blogger and volunteer Serhiy Sternenko drew attention to the photos in which Colonel Valentyn Manko "lit up" his mother. He informed that in the pictures you can see maps marked "secret", and this can help the enemy.

DeepState analysts noted that the data from the photo does not correspond to their map of combat operations, and this may indicate disinformation from the command. Manko himself stated that the photo shows ordinary Google Maps with their own markings, which cannot be used by the Russian occupiers. The colonel emphasized that he "showed everything as it is", and the Russians "turn a blind eye" to the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, regarding the captured settlements.
