Shahaneda attack on the Dnieper: damaged energy facility

To extend: Due to the attack of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation on the Dnieper on the morning of April 17, destruction was recorded at the DTEK production site in Dnipropetrovsk region. This was reported by the company's press service on Telegram. "This morning, the Drone attack was damaged by DTEK's production site in Dnipropetrovsk region," the message reads. It is noted that the buildings and equipment were seriously damaged. There are no dead and victims.

It should be noted that the Russian Federation fired the Dnieper during an energy truce, which was to operate from March 25, 2025. According to the Russian side, it began on March 18, however, as the adviser to the head of the Presidential Office of Ukraine Mikhail Podolyak noted, this date does not contain a legal basis. We will add that this is not the first violation of the truce from Russia.

According to a spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Georgy Tykhoi, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation has already violated the agreements more than 30 times, causing strokes on the energy objects of Ukraine. In addition, as of April 15, the number of dead Ukrainians as a result of shelling increased almost 2. 5 times. We will remind, in the evening of April 16 the Russian Federation "Shahheda" attacked the Dnieper.

There were more than 10 explosions in the city, after which the power supply disappeared in some areas, and fires were raised due to the shelling. Later it became known about two dead, including a young girl. At least 16 people were injured, among them children. The attack of the wife of the mayor of Dnipro Boris Filatov was also destroyed due to the attack. Subsequently, the death toll increased to three. Another 28 Ukrainians were injured, including four children.
