After the impact, a cloud of fire rose above the base, as evidenced by videos from social networks: the Russians write that it could have been the arrival of Ukrainian cruise missiles - the type is not specified. Information about the consequences of the attack on the airport appeared at 11:30 on November 6, 12 hours after the loud noises in Donetsk.

It is indicated that the explosions damaged important objects: a warehouse of shells, tanks with fuel, a point of pre-launch training of drones (a combat unit is being installed, refueling with gasoline). Communication and power lines were also damaged, according to the post. It is emphasized that at the time of the attack, there were 1,000 Shaheds and 1,500 warheads in the warehouses.

Meanwhile, on November 6, a post appeared on social networks in which the Russians reported on four people who died "the previous evening". No details were given, but they mentioned "provocations by Ukrainians". Ukrainian OSINT publications published screenshots of the post to illustrate the effectiveness of the attack on the Donetsk airport on the evening of November 5, which could have killed drone operators or other military personnel of the Russian Armed Forces.

On the morning of November 6, Robert Brovdi "Magyar" reported that the Defense Forces struck the base of the Russian Armed Forces at the Donetsk airport. The commander wrote in Telegram that scouts of the 414th "Birds of Magyar" brigade and fighters of the SSO and rocket artillery troops acted together. The post does not specify what means of damage were used to reach the target at a distance of 50 km from the front line.
