Zelensky announced exports of Ukrainian weapons: what will Ukraine trade (video)

According to information from the President's evening address, the shortage of financing for weapons production is planned to be partially covered through the managed export of certain types of weapons. This will allow to accumulate funds to scale the production of those systems that are primarily needed by Ukrainian units, including shock and reconnaissance drones. According to Zelensky, some types of weapons in Ukraine are produced in much larger volume than necessary for internal needs.

As an example, he called marine drones that are already in excess in the domestic market, as well as individual anti -tank means and other modern systems, the production volumes of which can be exported without harming defense. The President outlined a clear hierarchy of priorities for the use of resources: above all - providing brigades at the front, then - replenishment of Ukrainian arsenals, and only in third place - controlled exports.

It is the observance of this sequence that, he said, will guarantee that exports will not undermine the combat readiness of the Armed Forces. The creation of three new export platforms is also announced. The first is focused on interaction with the United States, the second - to cooperate with European partners, the third - to work with other countries that showed interest in Ukrainian weapons and provided support to the country.

The purpose of the platforms is to expand joint production, attract partners and partners and intensify cooperations in the defense industry. Zelensky stressed that Ukraine does not seek to engage in "armed charity" and will not provide weapons to those who do not support its independence.

Export agreements, according to him, will be strictly selected: cooperation is possible only with those partners who really assisted Ukraine, and under the conditions of reliable control, so that Ukrainian technologies do not fall into the hands of Russia or its manuals. Separately, the President noted the high interest of the world partners in common projects and Battle-Tested products, which are created by Ukrainian companies and the army.

The manufacturers and defense enterprises themselves, according to Zelensky, see the demand for Ukrainian decisions and are ready to expand production with foreign partners. "Many have been talked about our Ukrainian companies, weapons companies. A lot of interest in the world in joint projects with Ukraine for weapons. There is also a clear demand for our weapons. Accordingly, thanks to managed exports, we will be able to accumulate money for the more production of our army," the President added.
