"Propaganda of Fear": The CPD told what the Russians are trying to achieve on the offensive

According to the Center for Combating Misinformation, the Russians intend to arrange provocations to try to force the Armed Forces to delay reserves from Kupyansk to Sumy region. The Russians continue to pusage the situation, spreading misinformation that a large -scale offensive is being prepared. In particular, it should touch the Sumy region. At the Center for Combating Misinformation, they told why you should not trust it.

It is noted that the enemy uses Ukrainian stories about how border guards are trained. The information is provided in a completely different way. The Russians write that this defense forces are preparing for the offensive in the Kursk region, which as a result will allegedly lead to increased fighting in Sumy region.

"At the same time, the enemy also spreads information about the preparation of the Russian Federation of his offensive in Sumy region to make the Armed Forces delay reserves from Kupyansk," the message reads. The Center for Combating Misinformation stated that it was a continuation by the enemy of the campaign, called "propaganda of fear". The Russians aimed at residents of the border regions of the country.

In reality, the enemy does not have enough reserves that would allow him to start a large -scale offensive in the Sumy region. "In this way, the Russians try to justify their terrorist strikes in Sumy region and sow panic among residents to force as many civilian Ukrainians as possible from the border regions of Ukraine," the CPD summed up.
