It is about launching upgraded rockets under the 3m86 index, whose flight range was increased to 450 km. Russia has tested a modernized version of the 3K55m Bastion coastline, which has stated an increase in shooting range up to 450 km for land purposes. The trials became known through the publication of the results of the "environmental hearings" of the company "NOC ecorrtyping", which aroused interest in the project. The Defense Express resource reported this on September 18.

The material states that the modernized complex received a rocket under the 3M86 index, the starting mass of 5 tons in the length of the body is 9. 5 meters, including a transport and highway container. According to the documents, the new rocket is an increased version of the supersonic winged rocket 3M55, with a number of key changes. In particular, the weight of the fuel is increased by 100 kg, and as a fuel substance used aviation kerosene.

In this case, the charge of solid fuel in the accelerator increased by 250 kg. For the new Bastyion variant, the Russian side chose the chassis Basi-9731 of its own production, abandoning the Belarusian MZCT-7930 platform. However, it is not excluded that the complex can remain on the Belarusian chassis and in the final version. Nine launchers 3M86 were carried out during the trials. The maximum firing range for maritime purposes was 380 km, on land - declared 450 km.

"It is quite specific that all these data stated above have decided to accompany the relevant graphic materials," the observers summed up. We will remind, according to the head of the GUR Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Kirill Budanov, the armed forces of the Russian Federation have several starting installations to launch hypersonic missiles "Zircon" in the occupied Crimea.
