The Netherlands will provide Ukraine for Patriot systems and will help to obtain patrol vessels for the safety of the export corridor in the Black Sea - the results

During his working trip to the Odessa region, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky met with the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of the Netherlands Mark Rutte, who is visiting our country. According to the Head of State, today they have a busy day in Odessa, devoted to global security issues.

“I am grateful to the Netherlands, grateful to you, Mark, your government, your team and all the people of the Netherlands for their constant attention to Ukraine and the extremely significant support of our country, our people in this difficult way. The fact that we are now, in Odessa, certifies what the key issues on the agenda and what our efforts are directed, ”said Vladimir Zelensky during communication with media representatives on the results of negotiations with Mark Rutte in Odessa.

The President of Ukraine and the Prime Minister of the Netherlands visited the port of Odessa and examined the places of engagement of Russian rockets and drones. According to the Head of State, Russia is destroying not only Ukrainian ports and cities with rocket terror, but also the normal lives of many other countries that are critically dependent on the supply of food from Ukraine.

“It is important for the world to be the only and solidarity to protect against terror and to support our efforts to protect people, ports, including Odessa, Danube ports and our Black Sea water area in general. There is a new decision of the Netherlands to strengthen Ukrainian air defense, ”Volodymyr Zelenskyy said. During the meeting, the parties discussed further steps on the F-16 coalition, in which the Netherlands play a leadership role, as well as other aspects of defense cooperation.

The cooperation was also discussed in order to properly protect alternative "grain corridors" in the Black Sea and to strengthen the positions in the region, including protection of the sky, strengthening the fleet, maintaining humanitarian demining and clearing the waters from Russian mines. "The Netherlands, in particular, will help to strengthen the safety of our export corridor in the Black Sea," said Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

At the meeting, the interlocutors also paid attention to the situation in the Middle East. The importance of preventing a new full -scale war was not allowed. At the same time, as the Head of State noted, terrorists must be responsible for the crimes committed in order to never provoke war again. He also thanked the Netherlands for the support of the Ukrainian peace and joint efforts with partners to bring Russia to terror.

In particular, the Netherlands is working on a point that concerns the restoration of justice. In addition, the meeting referred to increased and accelerated the imposition of sanctions against Russia to limit its ability to finance war. Separately, Volodymyr Zelensky emphasized the need to accelerate the directing of frozen assets of Russia to compensate for the damage from its aggression, in particular the projects of reconstruction in our country.

“In Ukraine, we see resistance, see the desire to fight, the desire to win - both among civilians and among the military. Today we were in the port of Odessa and saw people doing everything possible to preserve and support their lives, and are achieving success in it, ”Mark Rutte emphasized. He reported that the Netherlands would help Ukraine in obtaining patrol vessels to ensure the safety of the "grain corridor".
