Military salary in Ukraine: why payments can be delayed

The amount of financial support of the military depends on the position, military rank, qualification, duration and intensity of the conditions of military service. The salary of servicemen differs from the wages of employees in that the military receives a regular monthly financial remuneration, as well as additional bonuses. However, sometimes there are situations where payments to the military card are delayed. This is stated in the article "24 Channel".

The salary of servicemen is governed by the Law "On Social and Legal Protection of Servicemen and their Families", which means that they are not required to conclude an employment contract. As of 2024, the minimum wage for servicemen is: in addition, there are salaries allowances that provide for special conditions of service, regime of secrecy, scientist or scientific degree, honorary or sports rank.

During the martial law, servicemen receive monthly financial support and additional bonuses that can reach the size of 30, 50, 70 and 100 thousand hryvnias. Additional payments in accordance with the Cabinet of Ministers Resolution No. 168: cash security is paid on a bank card in two stages: often payment for the military can be delayed.
