Geolocation videos published on November 3 confirm the advance of units of the 5th Russian Motorized Rifle Brigade in the southern areas of Mirnograd and in the eastern part of Rodinsky. Other materials show that Ukrainian forces struck two Russian troops in the northwestern sector of Pokrovsk, which ISW assessed as infiltrating, but this did not affect the Line of Control.
Ukrainian officers note that Russian units are trying to penetrate deeper into Pokrovsk, setting up observation posts and concentrating personnel in the city. According to a source connected to Ukrainian intelligence, Russian troops are entering Pokrovsk from the Zvirove-Shevchenko-Novopavlivka district in the southwest and are accumulating on the northeastern and northern outskirts of the city. The Russian side is also creating positions for UAV operators.
The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation published a video showing the evacuation of civilians and document checks in Pokrovsk. At the same time, Ukrainian forces continue to conduct defensive and counterattack actions. Geolocation data indicate that the Armed Forces have advanced in eastern Rodinsky.
The 7th Airborne Assault Corps reported that Ukrainian units provided reinforcements and supplies in the Pokrovsk direction and prevented Russian troops from advancing in the northern part of Pokrovsk and cutting the Pokrovsk-Myrnograd highway. On the eastern flank of the Pokrovsky operation, in the Dobropill district, Ukrainian forces liberated part of the territories on which Russian troops had previously advanced.
In recent weeks, the Armed Forces have been steadily reducing Russian penetration. On November 2, a Russian media blogger reported that Ukrainian forces had liberated Novy Shakhove. Earlier, the General Staff of Ukraine announced the release of Kucherovoy Yar and Zoloty Kolodyaz. On October 31, Ukrainian military observer Kostyantyn Mashovets confirmed Dorozhny's release. Battles and counterattacks of Ukraine in the Mayak and Zapovidny areas were also recorded.
According to ISW, Ukrainian pressure on the Dobropil region affects Russia's ability to continue its offensive on Pokrovsk, as Russian forces have to allocate resources. On November 3, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrsky, noted that the actions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on this flank make it difficult for the Russian army to form an encirclement in the Pokrovsk region.
The 2nd Combined Arms Army of the Central Military District is Russia's main offensive group in this direction, while the 51st Army, which attacks from the east and north, has faced limitations in its capabilities due to Ukraine's actions on the Dobropil Salient. To continue the offensive, the Russian Federation was forced to involve marine units.
We will remind that GUR MOU released a video of a special operation in the Pokrovsk region, where fighters of the "Timur special unit" destroyed the Russian flag on the city ceiling, broke through a corridor and improved logistics for units of the Defense Forces.
