The President of Ukraine presented state awards to the Ukrainian military who released Kherson region

Freedom is worth the life and health of our best people, ”the President said. Glory to Ukraine!" - said the head of state.

In particular, the President awarded the title of Hero of Ukraine and presented the Order of Golden Star to Sergeant Andriy Orlov, who since March 2022 participated in the reflection of the armed aggression of the Russian Federation. In September, as a part of the intelligence group, the serviceman made a successful adjustment of the firing of artillery and aviation on the accumulation of enemy forces in the area of ​​the settlement of Mala Sedeminukh of Kherson region.

The equipment and personnel of the enemy were destroyed. The reconnaissance group also fought with the prevailing enemy forces. As a result, the enemy retreated. During the battle, the sergeant suffered a fragile wound of his ear and neck. On November 10, Andrey Orlov participated in the release of Snihurivka in the reconnaissance detachment and personally raised the flag above the building of the district administration.

The Order of Bohdan Khmelnitsky I degree was awarded the commander of the operational-strategic group of Kherson troops, the brigade General Alexander Tarnavsky. Thanks to his skillful management, the offensive operation managed to achieve minimal losses of personnel, weapons and military equipment and to fulfill the tasks of release of the right -bank part of the Kherson region and the city of Kherson (more than 80 settlements in total).
