"The current official position of the Sychovy in the Russian army is unknown," the ISW emphasized.
Earlier, the Russian general commanded the Western Group of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in Kharkiv region. He was dismissed in 2022. "And this statement is the first marked speculation that Sychovy has participated in hostilities in Ukraine since September 2022," American analysts said. In August, the Russian media reported that the commander was refusing to comment to journalists. The media was assumed that he has kept an official position, but did not want to open it.
