Russian inventor tried to judge in Apple $ 3 billion but he did not work

Artachets Iconmov sued and stated that it was he who developed an emergency communication function on the phone that was introduced into the iPhone. The inventor from the Russian Federation, a kind of artasz iconomov, tried to sue the Russian representative office of the US company Apple 295 billion rubles ($ 3. 3 billion). He also wanted to get the iPhone smartphone with the sale of "Emergency Call - SOS", RBC writes.

In his lawsuit, filed in his claim in 2019, Artshas said that he is the author of a phone patent with an emergency -called emergency communication function. According to the Russian, Apple has violated his patent and demanded from the court for the US company to be obliged to withdraw all the gadgets that support this feature. The court denied the claim, but the iconomov did not stop and reached the Supreme Court.

But there was also a disappointment there - the Supreme Court also stood on the side of Apple. The Apple office in the Russian Federation, EPLL Rus, did not leave it out of sight and in the same 2019 appealed to the Rospatnt for the cancellation of Patent Ikonova, having previously declared it invalid in the Russian Federation. The grounds for this were found - the invention of iconomov does not correspond to one important condition - novelty. The Rospatent refused the Russian Apple unit.

The inventive inventor immediately tried to turn the situation in his favor and sued the EPLP Rus to court. This time, in a lawsuit, he stated that the company violated its exclusive utility model. He demanded compensation of 295 billion rubles ($ 3. 3 billion at the current official rate - ed. ). Three years later, the court denied the claim. The plaintiff appealed and the case was suspended. And here on June 10, 2024 the patent was canceled. Its validity was from 2013 to the end of 2023.

The publication writes that Artashes Iconimov is the author of at least 35 patents, including technologies such as devices for identifying citizens, finding information, viewing content with comments, communicating drivers and taxi customers. Earlier, we wrote that the blogger found a non -working Russian chip in the monitor and after that he wanted to pay $ 58,000. Why the manufacturer of Russian monitors LightCom demanded this amount, it is unknown, but the blogger intends to sue.
