The fire at the oil depot after the attack on Crimea is spreading: the second tank caught fire (photo)

Share: The fire at an oil tank in the village of Gvardiyskyi, Simferopol district, which broke out as a result of a drone attack on October 17, engulfed another tank. Monitoring channels publish satellite images with two centers of fire. The monitoring Telegram channel "Crimean wind" reports about the fire at the oil depot as a result of the attack on Crimea. Admins, citing subscribers, claim that the second tank caught fire around 2:10 p. m.

With reference to satellite images, the monitoring channel writes that there are a total of eight large and six slightly smaller tanks at the ATAN gas station network in Gvardiyskyi. Later, the admins published a NASA Firms satellite image showing the fire at the ATAN oil depot. The monitoring group of the channel noted that the photo shows two centers of fire. There was no official information regarding the attack on the oil depot in Crimea at the time of publication of the material.

Explosions rang out in Crimea on the night of October 17 during an attack by unmanned aerial vehicles. The monitoring channel "Krymskiy Veter" reported on the alleged attack on the oil depot in Gvardiyskyi, which belongs to the ATAN gas station network, and the Russian ammunition depot. Locals also reported smoke over the resort in Simferopol. The head of the occupying power in Crimea, Serhii Aksyonov, confirmed that the substations were damaged during the drone attack.

Emergency blackouts were used in Krasnoperekop, Dzhankoy and Saksky districts. In addition, the spokesman of the Naval Forces of Ukraine, Dmytro Pletenchuk, reported that the occupiers shot down their own Su-30SM fighter jet while repelling a drone attack on Crimea.
