After the border is closed: the Russian Federation is looking for illegals in freight trains to Finland - TASS

According to the Russian security forces, there was no need for the closure of automobile checkpoints to the Finnish side. Freight rail trains heading from Russia to Finland, after the introduction of the Finland side, restrictions on the border crossing allegedly began to check for illegal passengers. This was reported by the Russian news agency of the TASS, referring to the words of the interlocutor in law enforcement agencies.

According to the security officers, there was no need for the closure of automobile checkpoints "the need for more thorough checks of freight trains". "After the restrictions on Finland, freight trains that head across the border began to check for possible illegal passengers, which can theoretically hide between wagons or otherwise. There was no need to check the freight trains earlier," the source comments.

We will remind, on November 28, Finland Prime Minister Petter ORPO stated that because of concerns related to illegal migration, the border with Russia is completely closed. Until recently, only one border point remained open in Finland after the government has closed the seven others because of the influx of migrants from the Middle East and Africa. Helsinki accuses Moscow of purposefully accompany the migrants to the border.

The American Analytical Center "The Institute of War Study" called the Kremlin's strategy "hybrid war" tactics. Finnish Foreign Minister Elina Valtonen announced that the border would be closed by December 13. It should be reminded that the ISW estimates, migrants will not freeze out of their will, but the Kremlin unleashed a hybrid war against Finland.
