According to journalists, hoping to recruit the Kursk region, Putin has accumulated 50,000 Russian and North Korean military in the region. Russian President Vladimir Putin is in a hurry to repel the Kursk region in the Armed Forces of Ukraine before Donald Trump entered the post of President of the United States in January 2025. The Telegraph has got acquainted with the conclusions of British intelligence, which indicate that Russia will increase the number of attacks of Kamikadze drones on Ukrainian positions in the coming days, using new launch sites near the border. "About 12,000 North Korean conscripts will probably be involved in hostilities in the Kursk region in accordance with the pact on mutual military assistance between Russia and North Korea, concluded this year," the material reads.

Journalists also noted that the Kremlin may seek to use this large -scale counter -attack in the Kursk region in order to gain momentum and advance to the Sumy region. According to the authors of the material, Russia has already returned about half of the territory that Ukraine has seized from the beginning of the border breakthrough in the Kursk region.

"Western diplomats are concerned that Putin will try to quickly seize the territory to Trump's inauguration to give Russia more negotiations in any peace talks," the article reads. Journalists emphasized that after the counter -offensive in the Kursk region, the Russian Federation increased attacks on the front line. In particular, in October, Russian troops occupied more territory of Ukraine than any month from mid-2022.
