In Kiev presented a book about the lives of children during the war

Advisor - Presidential Commissioner for Children and Children's Rehabilitation Darya Gerasimchuk took part in the presentation of the book Living the War: Children Dringing the Russian War Against Ukraine. It was issued within the framework of the Bring Kids Back UA action plan, aimed at returning Ukrainian children, which was abducted by the Russian aggressor state.

“This plan brings together government structures and non -governmental organizations so that every Ukrainian child can return to his home. One of the blocks of the Bring Kids Back UA plan concerns informing the world community what the government of Ukraine is doing to save our children, ”Daria Gerasimchuk stressed. Writer Vladimir Kadigrob gathered in the book eight stories of Ukrainian children about life during the war: loss of loved ones, occupation and deportation.

The adviser - the Presidential Commissioner noted that Russian invaders are conscious of the genocide of Ukrainians, including children. “The invaders want to make these children never return to the Ukrainian nation. In the formula of the President of Zelensky, there is item four, which contains not only the requirement of returning all adults of prisoners of war but also children.

That is why Ukraine, together with Canada, has created an international coalition for the return of Ukrainian children, ”Daria Gerasimchuk added. The presentation was also attended by: the author of the book Vladimir Kadigrob, Deputy Prosecutor General Victoria Litvinov, representative of the Commissioner for the Rights of the Child Irina Suslova and photographer Alexander Maslov, whose works were included in the publication.
