After the UAV night attack: delayed cassette ammunition, details exploded in Kiev

To spread: in the Darnytskyi district of Kiev after the Russian shelling Droam-Kamikadze on the night of May 1, a delayed cassette ammunition exploded. In the administration of Shevchenkivskyi district, the residents were as careful as possible. This was reported on the Facebook page by a temporarily acting chairman of Shevchenkivskyi district in Kyiv city state administration Alexander Popovtsev. According to the official, cassette ammunition could scatter enemy unmanned aerial vehicles.

The explosions were recorded in the Bortnichi neighborhood. Popovtsev urged the residents of Shevchenkivskyi district to be careful and, if possible, stay in safe places, preferably in shelters or basements. He explained how to act if suspected objects were found on the street: Kyiv City State Administration declared air alarm in the capital at 0:30 on May 1. The column was announced at 1:35.

In the morning, the administration reminded the people of Kiev that it is dangerous to touch unknown objects on the streets and lift them from the ground. "Unknown items that may lie on the ground after enemy attacks may be explosive," the KSCA stressed. The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine reported that professional sappers were working in the Darnytskyi district of Kiev, and law enforcement officers restricted access to a potentially dangerous territory.

During the Russian blow to the Donets region, on March 8, local Telegram channels reported that the attack was performed by cassette ammunition. On October 20, 2024, a new version of the X-69 rocket with a cassette combat part, which the Russian Federation hit Ukraine the day before, appeared in the Telegram-channel "Colonel of the GS". The channel's author called not to touch the metal balls scattered after attack by such a rocket and to call the SES units in case of their detection.
