In Ukraine, they change the order of military service in the Armed Forces by NATO standards: what will change

After amendments to the Regulation, a clear distinction and regulation of the standards of service in peacetime and in a special period will be carried out. The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine is actively working on changes to the Regulations on the Passing of Military Service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine to meet NATO personnel management standards. This was reported on Monday, May 29, in the press service of the defense department.

After amendments to the Regulation, a clear distinction and regulation of the standards of service in peacetime and in a special period will be carried out. As they told the department, the Armed Forces awaited the following changes: the Ministry of Defense also added that special attention will be paid to candidates who were rejected twice from the promotion - they are recommended to release.

The department emphasizes that the basis of these changes were the standards of personnel management of NATO. After the development, approval and consideration of the project amendments by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, it will be submitted to the President of Ukraine for entry into force of the relevant decree.

We will remind, on May 26 it was reported that NATO members plan to offer Ukraine an updated format of relations aimed at political support of the country and its desire for membership in the Alliance. At the same time, an accurate roadmap for NATO accession remains a distant prospect.

Earlier, on May 25, during the 15th Annual Kyiv Security Forum, Professor of Stanford University and Francis Philosopher Fukuyama expressed his opinion that Ukraine has the potential to become a full member of NATO after restoring control over Kherson and Zaporizhzhya regions.
