Advisor - Presidential Ombudsman Tatiana Lomakina took part in the Global Zero Project Conference in Vienna. She told how the war changed the lives of people from different social groups, including persons with disabilities. Tatiana Lomakina emphasized the challenges facing Ukraine and shared a vision of ways to overcome them.

Among other things, the adviser - the Presidential Ombudsman told about the arrangement of bomb shelters, evacuation and placement of people from the affected regions, interaction between authorities, public organizations, international companies and funds. “These are the lessons of military events. And now we are looking for resources and expertise so that the tasks facing us are to be done simply during military events.

The Zero Project Conference, which took place on February 22-24 at the United Nations Office in Vienna, was widely covered by the theme of war in Ukraine and assistance to people affected by the aggression of the Russian Federation.

In particular, the main distinction of Zero Project Recognition Award 2023 was received by the Purple Vest Mission group, which included representatives of the Israeli organization Access Israel and Japanese The Nippon Foundation. The group evacuated more than 3,500 representatives of low -mobility social groups from the war covered by the war of Ukraine, especially people with disabilities.

More than 80 countries became participants in the Global Annual Zero Project Conference Conference this year. About 1,200 people took part in the event, and 2,500 even joined online. The purpose of this project is to find and share decisions that improve the daily life and the realization of legal rights of people with disabilities.
