Turkey on the threshold of implementation of a new air defense system: What is known about the Hi̇sar-O Complex (Video)

The radius of the new SPR is only 25 km, and the maximum interception height exceeds 15 km. Although the Turkish system is clearly inferior to the Patriot or C-400 complexes, it has greater mobility and simplicity of logistic deployment. On Sunday, January 19, Turkey announced the completion of qualification tests of the Hi̇Sar-O Anti-Pravory and Anti-Retropont Defense, developed by Aselsan and Roketsan.

This event has become an important step towards the serial production of the complex, which is intended to strengthen the possibilities of Turkish air defense and increase the level of defense capability of the country. About it reports the portal Army Recognition.

The Turkish Defense Ministry noted that the Hi̇Sar-O SCR demonstrated high accuracy during the interception of targets at long distances and altitudes, which confirms the technological maturity of the system and the efficiency of national production processes. Hi̇sar-O is a medium-range air defense system designed to counteract a wide range of threats, including aircraft, helicopters, drones, winged missiles and Air Earth-Earth ammunition.

The radius of the system is 25 km, and the maximum interception height exceeds 15 km. The system is equipped with radar and infrared missiles, which allows you to respond effectively to modern threats. The system is built on modular architecture, includes a fire control center, radar, three starting installations and transportation equipment. It provides comprehensive protection of 360 ° due to the vertical launch of rockets, which significantly increases flexibility in combat.

Hi̇sar-O supports management through wire and wireless communication channels, as well as integration with tactical data transmission networks, which makes it compatible with modern troops management systems. Experts say that although Hi̇sar-O is inferior to the farm Patriot or Russian C-400, it has greater mobility and simplicity of logistic deployment by using the Mercedes-Benz 6 × 6 truck chassis.

Such versatility makes the system more suitable for tactical and prompt tasks facing the Turkish armed forces. "The transition to serial production Hi̇sar-O demonstrates the ability of Turkey to develop and produce advanced defense systems independently," the observers summed up. Earlier it was reported that Turkey intends to integrate Russian SCRC C-400 into the national air space control and control system.
