The Amnesty International report on the Armed Forces destroys the authority of the organization - the Minister of Defense

According to Alexei Reznikov, attempts to compare the military aggression of the Russian Federation with self -defense of Ukraine are unacceptable. The statements of human rights activists testify to the "loss of adequacy", the minister emphasizes. The leadership of Ukraine will not allow to offend the Ukrainian army and the Armed Forces.

This was stated by the Minister of Defense Alexei Reznikov, so reacting to the report of the Amnesty International human rights organization on the base of Ukrainian military in schools and other civilian facilities. "We will not allow our army, our defenders. I am as a lawyer," he said in particular. According to the minister, attempts to compare military aggression with Ukrainian self -defense are unacceptable.

"Any attempts to even compare the Russian aggression and self-defense of Ukraine, as done in Amnesty International, is evidence of the loss of adequacy and a way to destroy its authority," the head of the military department said. According to Reznikov, the only reason why hundreds of thousands of Ukrainian citizens are alive and have housing, although they could lose them are the forces of defense of Ukraine that defend their land.

"Any attempts to question the right of Ukrainians to resist genocide, to protect their families and homes, to protect their lives and the lives ", - the Minister of Defense added. The head of the military department also reminded that Ukraine is a rule of law. "We comprehensively analyze and give an assessment, in particular - legal, events in the war, as our obligations require," he summed up.

We will remind, on August 4, the organization Amnesty International published a report dedicated to the full -scale war in Ukraine, which accused the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation of committing military crimes, and the units of the Armed Forces - in the placement of its equipment in residential quarters. The actions of the Ukrainian army, according to human rights defenders, provoke Russians and force them to fire objects of civil infrastructure.

The adviser to the chairman of the OP Mikhail Podolyak in a comment to Focus stated that Ukraine complies with all the laws of war and international humanitarian law, and the report of Amnesty International was published for the purpose of discrediting the units of the Armed Forces. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine also criticized the statements of the International Human Rights Organization.
