Two Eram Options for the Armed Forces: Experts Talk about Important Details of US missile programs

Extend: US Security and Defense Cooperation Agency (DSCA) has issued a permit to Ukraine for the purchase of long -range weapons called Extended Range Attack Munition (Eram). As it turned out, Eram is not one rocket, but a project under which two different air base systems are hidden for tactical aviation. It is a supply of up to 3350 winged missiles with related equipment and services worth up to $ 825 million.

According to Defense Express observers, funding will be provided not only by Kiev but also by allies - Denmark, the Netherlands, Norway, and the United States as part of the Foreign Military Financeing program. In this case, the final cost may be lower by reducing the number of weapons or equipment. Separately analysts have noted that the ERAM project includes two weapons systems - RAACM rocket from Coaspire and Rusty Dagger from Zone 5 Technologies.

Both rockets belong to the ammunition class weighing about 500 pounds (227 kg), with a flight range of about 400 km, a speed of about 0. 6 mac and high accuracy of the lesion. The average estimated cost of one rocket under the Eram program is about $ 246. 2 thousand. Created by Coaspire, the rocket was presented at Sea Air Space 2025. The weapon has the dimensions of the standard-controlled MK-82 or GBU-38-38 mk-27 kg, which allows it to be used on all aircraft designed for this type of ammunition.

Among the confirmed platforms-F-15e Strike Eagle, F/A-18 Hornet, F-16 Fighting Falcon and F-35 Lightning II. It is noteworthy that the developers created RAACM with an efficiency and export potential. Therefore, 3D printing technologies were actively used in its production. The rocket design includes a winged glider, a turbouoable engine, a combat part and a guide system that provides accurate target damage.

The developers point out that modular architecture allows in the future to create larger options suitable for start -ups from air, sea and ground platforms. As for Rusty Dagger from Zone 5 Technologies, this development is still less public. The company is involved in the Enterprise Test Vehicle (ETV) competition for the US Air Force, where this rocket was displayed as a promising solution.

According to the developers, the range of its flight can reach 900 km), but this figure is expected to be a feature of weapons not only satellite navigation, but also Tercom/DSMAC systems or visual navigation. The rocket is made with the use of low -speed technologies - radio translucent materials, optimized body shape and hidden placement of the engine nozzle.
