The Russian army is preparing a third assault of Avdiivka and would like to occupy it for the new year, said Oleksandr Kovalenko, a "Information Resistance" observer. At the same time, the commanders of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation do not believe in success. On December 9, Alexander Kovalenko, a military observer of the Information Resistance group, noted some peculiarities in the decisions of the Russian command.

These features may indicate that the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation is preparing for the offensive on the new shades of the front to the north and south of Avdiivka. The main purpose of such actions is to show the Kremlin at least some victory. The details of the fighting in the Avdeevsky direction are referred to in the Telegram channel of the observer.

Kovalenko noted that the Russian command began to use the units of the regular army and the first Army Corps (1 AK) formed from the DNR population differently. The military 1 continues to throw in infantry attacks without supporting equipment in the northern and southern flanks around Avdiivka. At the same time, regular troops use point, for example, under the steppe. Instead, they are strengthened, filled with new combat units.

This may indicate that the third wave of attacks on Avdiivka can soon be expected, the observer explained. Describing this wave, he used the word "powerful" and indicated possible dates - the next two weeks, by the end of December. At the same time, Kovalenko noted that the command of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation received a signal from the Kremlin - to get Avdiivka to two deadlines: the first - by the new year, the second - before the presidential election in March 2024.

If there are no achievements, then they will be punished: "They can fly heads," - says the post. That is why they are preparing for a new powerful attack. However, the Russian commanders are not sure that they will seize Avdiivka, the author indicated. Therefore, they prepared a plan B: they decided to attack in all directions in parallel: Kupyansk, Lyman, Bakhmut, Marinka, Villagledar.
