1000 days of war: what payments were received by Ukrainians during this time

There are many organizations in Ukraine that are ready to financially help citizens to cope with financial difficulties during the war. The full -scale war in Ukraine has become a serious test for the social protection system. However, thanks to the coordinated work of the state and cooperation with international partners, the country has managed to strengthen social protection and provide payments to Ukrainians affected by hostilities. This is stated in the material of the newspaper "News. live".

After the war, internally displaced persons were entitled to monthly financial assistance. Payments are made from the moment of appeal and last until the first month after the end of martial law in Ukraine. Financial support is assigned to each registered in a single IDP database.

Each insured person was provided with one -time financial assistance of UAH 6,500, which was transferred to the "support card".

Initially, this program was developed by the Ministry of Social Policy together with the Ministry of Digital Transformation and the United Nations Development Program in Ukraine in 2021. Then it was used for payments of UAH 1,000 for vaccination against coronavirus. Currently, it is impossible to make assistance to citizens who have not yet received payments. "Currently, more than 10,000,000 applications have been submitted by citizens of Ukraine, which temporarily terminates the issuance of applications on the '' Education '' '' '' '' 'for their detailed processing and transfer to international organizations for further payment," - the message reads. In addition to cash payments, Ukrainians were supported without increasing utilities for some time.

In particular, in August 2022, Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed a law on a moratorium on the growth of communal tariffs. According to this law, the moratorium had to act during the martial law and another half a year after its end. As a result, a ban on raising tariffs for all consumers was introduced for the following types of services: since June 2024, the Government has approved a new electricity tariff. The cost of electricity for home users has increased from 2. 64 UAH/kWh to 4. 32 UAH/kWh.

Energy Minister Herman Galushchenko noted that the former tariff of 2. 64 UAH/kWh covered only a third of the actual value of electricity, which was not enough. "Raising the tariff is a difficult but necessary step. The goal is not left without light, keeping the system. We are waiting for a large -scale reconstruction that requires enormous strength and money. All this time the repair campaign is ongoing on generation, distribution and transmission facilities.

Unfortunately, we understand that firing of energy objects from the enemy will continue, and we must use all possible resources, " - said Galushchenko. In May 2024, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, together with the UN Children's Fund (UNICEF), approved the project of additional payments for families with children living in Sumy, Kharkiv and Donetsk regions and need support. Such families can receive a one -time cash payment of UAH 3,600 per month for each family member for three months.
