"Another bottle for your wife": Trump sprayed the Syrian president with perfume during an official meeting (video)

Share: US President Donald Trump sprayed Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa and his delegation with perfume during an official meeting. The incident was captured on video, which appeared on social networks. According to a blogger under the nickname "Prof. Preobrazhensky" on the X platform, a video of a conversation between the two leaders appeared on the network. In the recording, Trump approaches Ahmed al-Sharaa and his entourage with perfume and says: "Come here. . . this is the best smell! And you too. . .

here, take another bottle for your wife! How many wives do you have?". To which the Syrian president replies: "One. " Trump remarks in response: "Just one? Well, you never know in advance!". It is worth noting that, as Reuters writes, US President Donald Trump held a historic meeting at the White House with Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa on November 10.

Trump assured that the United States will do everything possible to help Syria become a successful state, and called Sharaa a "strong leader", while noting that "each of us has had a difficult path in the past. " For Sharaa, this is the first visit to the United States: the former al-Qaeda commander, who until recently was under Washington sanctions, is now positioning himself as a moderate leader who seeks to unite the war-torn country and break out of international isolation.

One of the main goals of his negotiations was the cancellation of American sanctions, known as the "Caesar Act", which requires a decision by Congress. The meeting took place without the traditional ceremony: Sharaa arrived through a side entrance, without flags or a guard of honor.

The event took place against the background of attempts on the life of the Syrian president, prepared by militants of the "Islamic State", as well as a large-scale special operation of the Syrian authorities, during which more than 70 suspects of terrorist activities were detained.

According to Reuters, the talks also discussed a possible security agreement between Syria and Israel, the establishment of a US military presence at one of the bases in Damascus, and Syria's political cooperation with the international coalition against the Islamic State. It will be recalled that Ahmed al-Sharaa gave the first major interview to the American media as the new president of Syria after the escape of Bashar al-Assad.
