It is noted that the P-35 could be launched both from the coastal missile complex "Redut" and from the underground object "Object-100". Judging by the photos, the P-35 was shot, and in view of its anti-ship, it was probably used to attack objects in the southern regions of Ukraine. Despite its age, the P-35 rocket is still in service with Russia. It is used, in particular, as part of the coastal missile complex "Redut".
According to the latest data for 2021, in Russia there were 8 such starting installations. In addition, the P-35 missile is part of the stationary complex "UES" (also known as "Object-100"), located underground near Balaklava, which is in the occupied Crimea. There are only two similar complexes - in the Crimea and on the island of Kingdin in the Barents Sea. The Crimean Complex "Object-100" was restored by Russia after the occupation of the 2016 peninsula and periodically launched rockets.
It was also planned to modernize the complex for installation of launches under the Onyx and Zircon missiles. The P-35 missiles were also used on the missile cruisers of the Project 58, but they are already written off. However, it is unknown what specifically the rocket modification was involved.
The range of the P-35 missile is up to 300 km (according to some sources in the version 3m44-up to 460 km), speed-up to 1800 km/h (according to other data 2200 km/h), and the size of the combat part reaches 930 kg. The system of guidance of this anti -ship rocket remains classic for its time, with an inertial march and switching on the active radar head of the self -resolution in the final phase.
The flight profile, which determines a range of 400 meters, 4 km or 7 km, provides a reduction in the rocket to a height of 100 meters before the impact on the object. "There was also an opportunity to defeat terrestrial, more precisely-coastal goals. But through the guidance system, they should be radio contrast. Thus, the launchers of the P-35 missiles are somewhat concerned with the use of X-22 used for terrorist strikes in cities," the observers summarized .
