He stressed that NATO strategies and plans were aimed at counteracting Russia, and supported this statement, pointing to plans developed and approved in Vilnius.
At the same time, he stressed that the North Atlantic Alliance "strong as ever". Christopher Cavoli, for his part, confirmed NATO's readiness for possible action. He has also announced the largest Alliance's studies in recent decades, the script of which provides for a conflict with a "virtually equal opponent". The training scenario involves the attack of Russia on the territory of the Allies, which activates Article 5 of the NATO treaty on collective defense.
Bauer emphasized that conducting exercises with the involvement of about 90,000 soldiers is a demonstration of new NATO readiness. He called it a "record number of troops" and stressed that it allows you to train on such a scale throughout the Alliance. Finally, Bauer emphasized that the war is not only a matter of military, but also an event that affects the entire public, referring to events in Ukraine.
