Hova orders repairs of educational institutions that the Russian Federation destroys before commissioning - the media

The repair of this Lyceum in Chuguev began at the expense of the regional budget in 2023 under the regional program of restoration, development and support of life support systems of Kharkiv region during the period of martial law, reports the resource "Our money". The program was approved by the head of Hov in 2022, and in 2023 the tender for repair worth UAH 235 million, which won LLC "Promtex".

The Kharkiv Anti -Corruption Center was interested in this project and found that during the repair there was a significant overestimation of prices for building materials, after which the customer concluded an additional agreement with the contractor to reduce the prices of building materials. After that, not only some positions fell in cheaper, but also changed some projected solutions. In the end, the cost of the contract dropped from 234 million to 180 million.

However, in addition to the renovation of the Lyceum, Promtex received an order by another UAH 14 million due to the amendments of the project mentioned above. The total amount amounted to UAH 194 million. Now the destroyed lyceum will have to be restored. In the city, located just 64 kilometers from the front, at least 10 private homes, two high -rise buildings, two educational establishments and one administrative building were damaged in just two days of shelling.

The Lyceum in Chuguev is not the first educational institution that was destroyed after expensive repairs. Earlier, the same fate befell the Lyceum in the Old Salt, which was spent 205 million UAH. After the Lyceum on April 6, 2025, they were bombed for the second time, the Starosaltiv settlement council announced a tender for construction in its territory of a protective structure - an underground school.
