The Russian Federation plans to produce 13 thousand UAVs a year: but there is a problem

According to open data, from the beginning of the year to September 13, Russian invaders lost about 300 UAVs. Therefore, in June 2023, a new strategy was approved in the Russian Federation.

The Kremlin's plans are to make: however, it will be difficult to implement such ambitious plans - it will depend on personnel and technological capacity. In the Russian Federation, they plan to hire hundreds of thousands of workers in the sphere of drones. By 2026, their number should increase to 330 thousand people, by 2030 to 1 million people, and by 2035 - 1. 5 million people. It is unknown whether the Russian Federation will be able to hire so many people.

Analysts note that small copters will continue to be imported. In the middle of the Russian Federation, they plan to build UAVs of aircraft type. However, the technologically UAVs may depend on the engines. One of the most sought after engines is the German Red A03 diesel engine. It should be replaced, among the variants are VK-800cm from "ODK-Klimov". However, the problem with the Russian engine is production. Currently, the company can make 30 engines a year.

Therefore, the authors give the second option-the piston engine APD-500. It was created in conjunction with the German Porsche and on the basis of a car engine, so dependence on foreign parts there is even greater. In the Russian reconnaissance and UAV "Orion", the Australian engine of Rotax 914 was launched on the Russian ADD-100/120 (aka AGAT-B). However, it was more difficult: 96 kg against 74. And at the same time, 50 important components related to the fuel system must still be imported.

Thus, analysts come to the conclusion that the turbulence in the Russian industry will continue if it does not grow in the future. Russia will be more difficult to solve problems through sanctions, but to review the plan is political unacceptable.
