Civil objects are the main target. Russia is fighting against electricity and heat for humans, undermines power plants and other power facilities. This is such everyday life in Ukraine - through Russian terror. That is why we make so much effort to get modern air defense and from partners. Plus, constant fighting on the front is more than a thousand kilometers long.
What does this mean from a global point of view? Instead of investing trillions of dollars in the development of human capital, the world will spend enormous funds for re -equipment - in addition to the planned. Here you will see. Now everyone is looking closely at how we are defending in Ukraine. They look which weapon is best, which tactics work, which defense systems produce the maximum result.
To be honest, only a few countries could now defend themselves from aggression as intensively as we do. There are simply not so many shells, weapons. But potential aggressors in the world and frozen conflicts, which can be blossomed again, are still more than such countries. Therefore, there is a frantic safety deficit.
Because more forms of terror use in this war, the more money the world will eventually direct the weapons and protection against the potential repetition of the such blows that we suffer. Another example . . . Instead of paying maximum "green" transformation, different governments are equally looking for as to guarantee cheaper supply of oil, gas, coal to reduce energy prices. It is the price of energy, not the purity of energy - the number one question for many.
And so it would not have been for Russian aggression and the use of energy as weapons by Russia. The third example . . . In a matter of weeks, there was a completely artificial threat of hunger for tens of millions of people. Not because of the drought or economic crisis, but through the military blockade of our ports, the country's exporter. For decades, the world has not seen this.
Any new catastrophe in a particular country because of high prices for food or, God forbid, through hunger is a minus the years for global development. Many different topics have been discussed in your forum during these days . . . But how many of them do not depend on what has brought and, unfortunately, can Russian aggression bring? Minority. Therefore, when Ukraine offers a formula of peace, it is really a formula of peace not just for us, but for the world.
When the threat is complex, then the answer should be comprehensive. You will not solve anything with a simple stop of fire. This is our formula. We need to return peace - reliably, long. Simple softening of crises provoked by Russia will not regain stability. Every threat must be completely dismantled. The other day, at a summit in Indonesia, I presented such proposals - reliable peace and complete dismantling of Russian threats. And I thank everyone who supports the Ukrainian formula of peace.
And now I want to add another component. What does peace mean? This is very practical. This is the rescue of life. Stabilization and development. Development! Already, joining Ukraine, different countries and companies are incentives for growth. But when we restore territorial integrity and guarantee a reliable peace, Ukraine will become a powerful source of new global development. And it's not just about the economy, but about the modern economy. Here are three more examples.
Ukraine is able to replace the dirty fossil fuel from Russia with pure energy. We have great potential in low carbon energy. Ukraine is able to become a key partner of the European Union for decarbonization purposes. We will become one of the main suppliers of "green" hydrogen and "green" electricity in the EU. The climatic conditions of Ukraine, free space, sun energy, wind energy make it possible to produce "green" electricity with a very competitive cost.
Only three years before the Russian invasion, we had 7 renewable energy gigawatts. Potential is at times higher. Plus Ukraine can produce tens of millions of tons of "green" and cheap ammonia. Plus strong positions in bioenergy. Plus powerful nuclear power and energy infrastructure, which is combined with the EU energy network. Now Russian rocket terror is aimed primarily at these our capacities. Only the day before yesterday Russia released almost one hundred missiles against our energy.
Almost a hundred! Today - again . . . Of course, the losses are great. But this only means that the reconstruction will be large -scale. I invite your countries and companies to evaluate prospects and join our reconstruction. By the way, we now have the decision of one of the largest Australian private investment groups to invest the first $ 500 million. It is in the initiative for the "green" growth of Ukraine within the creation of a fund of $ 25 billion.
I am grateful to Mr Andrew Forrest for the decision to be the first, as well as Mr. Larry Fink with Blackrock for help in structuring this fund. Another example is the production of resources. The modern economy requires lithium, graphite and other rare earth metals. For some of these resources, we have the largest reserves in Europe. These are enormous opportunities.
Plus production and transport capabilities, plus our potential in mechanical engineering, our culture of labor and access to the leading markets of the world are the basis for the economic growth that everyone needs. The third is the agricultural sector. The world saw that without Ukrainian exports it is impossible to guarantee global food security. Our export grain initiative already helps stabilization. And as soon as the decision is made to extend it for 120 days.
But Ukraine's proposal is to extend the Black Sea initiative indefinitely. This is vital for stability. Plus, we founded Grain from Ukraine to provide as much food assistance with the poorest countries with partners as possible. But the return of peace to Ukraine will mean that we will not just stabilize the market in response to the crisis, but to guarantee food stability and prevent any crisis. And again, I cited only three examples, and much more. Peace in Ukraine is a global need.
I emphasize: not temporary lull, do not mute peace that Russia is tempted to simply prepare a new stage of aggression, but a real peace. I know that it can be achieved. But for this we need to preserve global unity and continue to support our fight for freedom. It is necessary to protect global honesty and increase pressure on Russia for terror. And we must protect global rationality and now cooperate with us for the future development.
