The first in history orbital rocket launched from the territory of Europe fell to the ground (video)

To spread: The German company ISAR Aerospace for the first time in history has tried to launch Spectrum from European spaceport on Sunday, March 30, 2025 into space. But this launch ended with a fall and rocket explosion only 18 seconds after the start. The cause of the catastrophe is still unknown. Space writes about it. We remind that in January this year, the new Starship rocket launcher by the US company SpaceX, which belongs to Ilon Mask, did not completely complete the next test flight.

The upper stage of the rocket exploded shortly after launching from the US. A similar catastrophe also happened in Europe. No rocket has been sent to orbit from Europe and was tried to do isar Aerospace when its Spectrum rocket started from Annejia's spaceport in Norway. As you can see in the video, shortly after the start, the rocket fell on an ice covered with an ice and exploded.

The German company is not yet aware of what caused the disaster, but it is known that the rocket fell with switched off engines, so it is likely that the mission dispatchers stopped flight as soon as the rocket began to spill over in the air. On board the Spectrum rocket had no amount of amount. According to ISAR Aerospace's statement, the purpose of this mission was to collect data on how the rocket would be behaved during the first space.

Anneya's cosmodrom was opened in northern Norway in 2023, and it was the first launch of a rocket into space from this starting ground. Space structures were built specifically for ISAR Aerospace and Spectrum rocket and seemed not affected by the fall of the rocket. The height of the Spectrum rocket is 28 meters. For comparison, the height of Falcon 9 SpaceX is 70 meters. Isar Aerospace wants to use the Spectrum launch vehicle to remove a health-weighing up to 1000 kg for low Earth orbit.
