Investments in Ukrainian Defense and Strengthening Air Defense: President met with Prime Minister of Norway

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky met with Prime Minister of Norway Jonas Garo Stere to discuss the continuation of Ukraine's support, including the strengthening of air defense and direct investment in the Ukrainian defense industry, as well as the importance of increasing pressure on Russia. The head of state spoke about the course of negotiations in Istanbul and stressed that their result should have a prospect.

The President has again confirmed that he was ready for the highest level to discuss the most important issues in person. Volodymyr Zelensky and Jonas Gar Stere also exchanged thoughts on variants of possible sites where the next meeting with the Russian side could take place. Particular attention is the need to strengthen sanctions against Russia.

The President of Ukraine and the Prime Minister of Norway have the same vision that they will be most effective in the case of coordination between the US, Europe and other countries. Other important topics of the meeting include defense assistance to Ukraine. The President informed about key needs, including the need to strengthen air defense.

Volodymyr Zelensky and Jonas Gar Stere discussed the possibility of buying an additional air defense system for Ukraine with the support of Northern Europe. Leaders paid special attention to direct investments in the Ukrainian defense industry, especially in the production of drones. The Prime Minister stressed that Norway is already a coalition of drones and is ready to do more. In addition, the meeting was about the purchase of gas for Ukraine. The parties discussed different opportunities.
