Champion of Ukraine, athlete and scout: Volunteer Rodion Pustovy was killed in the war

His death was reported on the Facebook page of the Sports Committee of Ukraine on July 10. "Defending his native land from the invaders, on June 12, 2025, a Ukrainian warrior and athlete Rodion Pustovy were killed during the offensive operation. He was 27 years old," the message reads. Rodion Pustovy joined the defense of Ukraine in 2024. The guy voluntarily went to the front, joining the "revenge". He served as an intelligence officer and was a commander of the intelligence department.

Within the limits of his duties, Pustovy participated in combat exits, assaults and ambushes. According to information published on the Committee, Rodion Pustovoy managed to eliminate only during the shooting battles seven invaders. He loved handball, running and dancing. Rodion Pustovy also wrote poems.

Rodion Pustovy's brothers said that he was extremely initiative and ready to accomplish any tasks, and took the most difficult of them.
