Drones - on the Russian oil: what threatens the attack on Novorossiysk Russian exports - ft

According to FT experts, drone attacks threaten Russia's oil exports, which, in turn, will raise fuel prices and can reduce Ukraine's support. The Russian oil sector was threatened after the impact of sea drones on the port infrastructure of Novorossiysk. On the other hand, fuel prices can increase and this will affect the war in Ukraine. This is stated in The Financial Times. The newspaper noted that the drones attacked the port of Novorossiysk, damaging the landing ship "Olenegirsky Mine".

At the same time, terminals were threatened through which Russia ships raw oil and petroleum products. In particular, it is said that through this port of the Russian Federation sells 600 thousand barrels of oil a day. There are also terminals of the Caspian pipeline consortium, which pumps oil from Kazakhstan at a speed of 1. 2 million barrels per day.

It is indicated that the attack occurred after Russian missiles have struck Ukrainian infrastructure involved in grain exports: "Countries attack the main sources of export income of each other," FT writes.

The attack on Novorossiysk can cause dissatisfaction in the United States, suggests two reasons: FT has quoted CIA Helim Croffte analyst - now it works at the RBC Capital Market Investment Bank: "The White House will not accept everything that is at risk of reducing Russian oil supply to the market. " The expert suggested that Ukraine would be more difficult to support if fuel prices increase.

It should be noted that after the impact of drones on Novorossiysk, the world price for Brent oil has increased slightly, shows the investing infographic. The growth is insignificant, but it continues. In addition, a similar situation with the Russian currency - the ruble went up to the euro and the dollar, and the course continues to fall. Meanwhile, Blackseanews analytical group noted that in the summer of 2023, exports of Russian oil through the Black Sea continued.

In particular, in June, the Russian Federation sold 4. 9 million tons of crude oil abroad. Before that, the peak of sales was in March - more than 5 million tons. The summer trend has a certain feature, the statements have experts: if more exports went to Europe, now - India, Singapore, China and Turkey. We remind you that on the night of August 4 to August 5, the sea drone hit the Russian oil tanker SIG near the Kerch Bridge. The explosion pierced the vessel body and damaged the machine compartment.
