The Republican leader hopes that he does not have to choose to "swallow" Ukraine and send weapons to Kiev. Former US President Donald Trump said that the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin was "probably involved" in the death of Russian opposition politician Alexei Navalny. Trump said this in an interview with Fox News, which was published on Sunday, March 17.

"I do not know, but maybe I mean I don't know," the US presidential candidate answered from the Republican Party when asked by a journalist, whether Putin is responsible for the death of Navalny. Trump added that "he (Navalny, ed. ) A young man, so, according to statistics, he should have lived for a long time . . . So something unusual happened.

" In addition, the leader of the Republicans, who repeatedly promised to stop the assistance of Ukraine and make Kiev sit at the negotiation table with Russia, during the interview, expressed his hope that he would not have to choose between Putin "swallowed" Ukraine and the departure of weapons of Kiev. "I hope it does not come to this," Trump said, adding that the wars would never have been "for his presidency.

We will remind, on March 18, the Washington Post wrote that Donald Trump was considering the candidacy of Paul Manafort as an adviser to his election campaign. He headed Trump's election campaign in the summer of 2016 before he was removed from office and sentenced to tax and bank fraud as part of Robert Muller's investigation into Russia's interference in 2016. Trump has pardoned Manafort in the last days of the US President.
