The basis of the winged Brahmos rocket is the Russian anti-ship missile P-800 "Okins". In India, ammunition was finalized over the years. The Indian Naval Forces have successfully tested the modified winged Brahmos rocket. This was reported by the press service of the X (previously Twitter). Brahmos Aerospace Private Lomited on January 24 conducted a successful test of the Brahmos over -sound winged rocket. The tests confirmed the ability to strike accurately from ships ready for hostilities.

The Brahmos-Er version was used, which can affect the targets at a distance of 400-500 km. "These efforts confirm the ability of Aatmabirbharta to strike long distances from warships ready for rocket strokes," the Navy said. Upon completion of the test series, the rocket must be arrived in India. The Brahmos rocket is based on the Russian P-800 Onyx missile. The Russian Federation is involved in the development of defense research.
