For "State betrayal": in Belarus will be judged by an officer who did not support the war of the Russian Federation against Ukraine

Lieutenant Colonel Anton Chernivny will stand up to the court in Minsk on February 15. He was the deputy commander of the 310th Artillery Group on the ideological work of the 120th Separate Guards Mechanized Brigade. In Belarus, the Lieutenant Colonel of the Republic of Anton Cherramni, who did not support the war of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, will be judged by the Lieutenant Colonel of the Republic of Anton Cherramni. This was reported by the Belarussian Human Rights Center "Vyasna".

Currently, the Cherry is in a pre -trial detention center, and on February 15 it will stand before the court in Minsk. The hearing will be closed. 40-year-old Anton Cheramny, according to Vyasna ", was the deputy commander of the 310th Artillery Group on the ideological work of the 120th separate Guards Mechanized Brigade.

As early as 2023, the edition "Mirkalo" published a material in which journalists, citing Chermyni colleagues, said that Lieutenant Colonel in 2020 supported an alternative candidate in the presidential election and planned to leave the army after suppressing protests. "He did not hide his position on the war. He told that he did not want to tell the soldiers pro -Russian theses of propaganda because he knew that it was not true.

The war in Ukraine was taken very close to the heart in Ukraine because he was in Kiev," one of the Officer's colleagues. The detained lieutenant colonel is a hereditary military. His father, Oleg Cheremny, served in Afghanistan and enjoyed the Belarusian "Afghans". So Anton followed his father's footsteps: in 2000 he entered the Military Academy at the Faculty of Army, graduated from his specialty "Moral and psychological support of military activity".

According to the human rights activists, the Cherries were arrested on January 6. They do not know the details, only the famous articles by which the lieutenant colonel will judge. "Regarding state betrayal, it is 100% convinced that Anton did not cooperate with any foreign intelligence. Perhaps the grounds for the accusations were some conversations or correspondence on social networks or messengers," the officer's colleagues reflect.

As noted in the "Vyasny" information, the Belarusian officer threatens from 10 to 20 years of imprisonment - he is charged with "state treason of the person to which the status of a serviceman applies" (Part 2 of Article 356 of the Criminal Code (Part 3 of Art. 130 KKB). We will remind that since March 25, 2023 in Belarus can be executed for the state council.

The relevant law, which provides for the death penalty for officials and the military for "treason", was published on the night of March 14 last year after it was signed by the self -proclaimed head of the country Oleksandr Lukashenko. In addition, since May 2022, a death penalty was introduced in Belarus for a "attempted terrorist attack". Belarus is the only country in Europe where the death penalty is used as a measure of punishment at the legislative level.

However, it should be noted that Anton's Cherry Death punishment is not threatened, since the law is applied at the time of committing a crime, not at the time of detention, prosecution or sentence. On January 30, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine reported that the Belarusian military installed checkpoints near the Ukrainian border. Belarus also attracted the personnel of the SCO in this direction.
