It is noted that UNESCO is still conducting a preliminary estimate of the losses caused by Russian invaders. "The organization also develops a mechanism for an independent coordinated data assessment in Ukraine, including the analysis of satellite images, in accordance with the provisions of the Hague Convention for the Protection of Cultural Values ​​in the event of Armed Conflict in 1954," the statement said.

UNESCO reports that as of July 26, 2023, from February 24, 2022, 274 objects were confirmed: the organization also confirmed that the Russian army damaged cultural sites in 14 regions of Ukraine, the most documented damage in Donetsk region.
