Leopard 1 in the Armed Forces: It became known how many tanks received Ukraine

Denmark and Germany had to transfer about 110 Leopard 1 tanks to Ukraine, but as of the end of 2023 it was publicly known about the supply of only 30 of them. Germany and Denmark, together with other countries, have pledged to transfer more than 100 Leopard tanks to Ukraine 1. The German edition of Wirtschaftswoche has learned how many cars were obtained by the Ukrainian army. Journalists have submitted requests to the Ministry of Defense of countries and defense companies.

Together, they promised more than 100 Leopard 1 tanks to Ukraine, but according to Danish journalists, only 30 cars were received by the end of the year of the Armed Forces. There were difficulties with the organization of repair of equipment, which was already withdrawn from the weapons of European countries. However, the requests of ministries and defense companies have shown that the German industry was still able to fulfill the Leopard supply contract.

In addition, about 30 more tanks have been full of modernization, making the total number of Leopard 1 in the Armed Forces of about 90 units. By the end of June, the other 20 tanks will come to Ukraine by the end of June, sources reported. Then another 25 Leopard will be delivered by the end of the second half of the year 1. The total number of tanks should be 135 tanks. Earlier in Denmark it was planned to equip two tank battalions or about 80 cars.
