The DPRK has developed managed shells for RSSUs: they can be exported to Russia - media (photo)

While Pyongyang launched the reactive system of a 240mm caliber caliber near the border with South Korea. However, analysts do not rule out that the DPRK can export new shells of Russia to use them in the war against Ukraine. On Sunday, February 11, the DPRK Academy of National Defense conducted a 240 mm controlled shells to the rocket launchers (RSSS). The North Korean military evaluated the accuracy of the defeat and checked the combat characteristics of the shells.

About it writes Yonhap with reference to the Korean Central Information Agency (KCNA). Pyongyang is convinced that such technical improvement will significantly strengthen the firing power of the RSSU and help to overestimate the strategic value of the installation and its role in the battlefield. The system was deployed near the border with South Korea and sent to its capital Seoul. This weapons test occurs on the background of deepening military cooperation between Moscow and Pyongyang.

The publication suggests that new shells are likely to be exported to Russia. According to South Korean experts, an improved 240-mm projectile can be dual purpose: from a practical point of view, the DPRK can sell them to Russia, and from political-to use to increase pressure to the south. Recall that The New York Times wrote that Russian authorities may have been trying to help Pyongyang access to the international financial system in exchange for rockets and ammunition.
