Per 100 million euros: France and Ukraine have agreed on the Fund for Direct Weapons Procurement

Kyiv intends to buy weapons of French manufacturers. To this end, the country has signed an agreement on the creation of a special fund. France and Ukraine have signed an agreement on the establishment of a fund of 100 million euros for direct purchases of weapons of French producers. This was reported today by the French Ministry of Defense on its official website.

According to French Armed Forces Minister Sebastian Lecorny and the head of the Ukrainian Defense Office Alexei Reznikov signed an agreement yesterday, October 13, in the fields of NATO Defense Ministers meeting in Brussels. On October 7, the creation of such a fund for assistance was announced by French President Emmanuel Macron. He stated this after the EU summit in Prague.

"I suggested that the EU countries establish a new fund of 100 million euros that would allow Ukraine to buy weapons from European manufacturers," the French president commented. He also said that France was negotiating with Denmark on additional supplies to Ukraine's high -precision CAESAR artillery. Earlier, the French side had already handed over to Kiev 18 Caesar SAU, taking them from the Land Forces Reserve. Paris also considers the opportunity to transfer 20 armored vehicles to Ukraine.
