It is also known from the film that the Ukrainian military with a similar name Ivan became a prototype for the protagonist. The film director Franz Boom met him in the United Kingdom, where the Ukrainian was undergoing military training to return to the front. The hero of history died during the fighting in January 2024, he was 18 years old.
