"The EU has introduced a ban on the purchase, import or transmission of coal and other solid fuels produced or exported from Russia since August 2022. EU coal imports are currently 8 billion euros a year," the agency informed. The package of measures prohibits access to EU ports registered in Russia. The Sanctions introduced were individual, trade, transport and energy sanctions.
The head of the Ursula von der Liaien reported the ban on the EU of coal imports from the Russian Federation for 4 billion euros per year. Russian experts claimed that the European Union depends on imports from Russia of energy coal, not Kokivny.
