Plus 500,000 disabled: Britain was told about the consequences and losses in the war in Ukraine

As of 2022, the Russian Federation had 1. 67 million men with disabilities aged 31 to 59. In 2023, this figure increased by 30%, told in British intelligence. In the Russian Federation, the number of men aged 31 to 59 has increased with disabilities. This was reported at the UK Ministry of Defense in X (Twitter).

The Britain's defense department, citing the material of the Merit Media, which analyzed the PF data and the social security fund of the Russian Federation, stated that during 2022-2023 the number of Russian men with disabilities over eight years of data available increased record. "In 2022, there were officially 1. 67 million men with disabilities at the age of 31-59 in Russia. In 2023, this figure increased by 507 thousand or 30%," the statement said.

According to Russian demographers, an increase in the number of men with disabilities may be related to military service. British intelligence said that most of the 355,000 Russian losses suffered by the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in the war in Ukraine are wounded by the military.

The British Ministry of Defense stressed that the average daily number of losses of Russians from the beginning of the offensive, the fall of 2023, increased to 983 people per day (February 2024) - the highest rate from the beginning of a full -scale invasion. "The record increase in the number of disabled men aged 31-59 and the wounded will significantly affect the medical and social services of Russia," Britain added.
