September 11 in the United States and October 7 in Israel: Why Terrorists' Provocations reach their goals

In their actions, terrorists always provoke the enemy for cruel actions in response. Note this, Analytist Timothy Snyder asks a difficult question: should the victim meet the terrorist as he expects? I want to share thoughts about terror and fight against terrorism caused by Hamas attacks and dilemma that Israel faces. They are not based on regional knowledge, but are based on scientific works on terror policy and rebel movements.

This is not so much a view of specific events as a general reminder of the wider form that such events can take. For the victim, terror is what he is. It is important for the terrorist what will happen next. Terror can be a weapon of weak, designed to force strong use of their power against themselves. Terrorists know what to do and have an idea of what they follow. They want to create an emotional situation in which self -destructive actions seem to be urgent and the only choice.

When you are terrorized, the argument I cite seems absurd; Terrorists may seem like a lush beasts that just need punishment. However, no matter how terrible the crime is, it usually does not indicate a lack of planning. Usually part of the plan is to get angry. The Americans have come to this. On September 11, it was a successful terrorist act because we made it like that. Regardless of whether its planners and performers have survived, it has achieved its main goal: to weaken the United States.

Without the events of September 11, the United States would probably not invade Iraq - a decision that led to the death of tens of thousands of people, helped to finance China's rise, weakened international law and undermined confidence in America. On September 11, it was the reason for Americans' decisions that led to much more deaths than September 11. But the point here is that on September 11, it contributed to the American decision that caused much more harm to America than September 11.

(September 13, 2001, I gave up a planned lecture on the history of Eastern Europe and completely spoke about terror and fight against terrorism in this spirit. I worried, but then I did not imagine how well the provocation was working. many sources; but one of them was the logic of terror-and, in fact, its exploitation by people who in any case wanted war in Iraq). When assessing Hamas's actions, it is important to remember that cruel crimes are not (or not only) an end in itself.

They are absolutely terrible and deserve all kinds of condemnation, but they are not meaningless. Unlike the Israelites, who are stunned and feel that they should act urgently, Hamas has been working on this scenario for years. People who commit pronunciation crimes adhere to a plan that takes into account the reaction of Israel. The classical terrorist provokes the state to cause so much suffering among their people that they will stand on the side of the terrorist indefinitely.

I will not say that I know what Hamas expects from Israel and what Israel should be done. This is the task of people who speak languages and experience - to read and analyze documents and data. I want to say that in such situations it is always worth asking if you follow a terrorist scenario. If what you want to do is what your enemy wants from you, someone is wrong. Maybe your enemy. But also, perhaps, you. Ps.
