The Armed Forces of Ukraine changed the strategy before the arrival of US F-16 fighter jets. It is more important for fighters to destroy Russian air defense than to keep small settlements in the Donbass. This was reported in Bild.

In his opinion, the strategy is designed to arrive F-16 fighters in the fall or winter. According to him, it is now more important for the Ukrainian military to destroy the enemy air defense than to keep small villages in Donetsk region. After all, in case of preference in the air, settlements can be released from the presence of the enemy.

Ryopke noted that the new strategy of Ukraine has weaknesses. The Russian Federation has hundreds of air defense systems, in particular, a maximum of a third of them has been destroyed. Also, there is still no finally and the plan for the introduction of F-16 aircraft into battle. "Ukraine carefully and systematically prepares its Su-24s with British and French winged missiles, as well as the use of the F-16," said the former head of the German Defense Ministry of Defense Operations Nico Lange.
