"Nothing breaks": The expert explained what goals will attack the thermobaric Shahd

The Russians will change tactics and increase the kinetic energy of the drones, so that the impact does not only the combat unit but also the whole design, says Mikhail Zhirokhov. Military expert Mikhail Zhirokhov stated that the thermobaric system, which the armed forces of the Russian Federation began to equip UAVs type Shahd can only be used for certain purposes. He reported this in an interview with OBOZ. ua. He noted that it was obvious that the enemy would progress and have something new.

The new combat part is designed to defeat goals that are located in the open space, including warehouses. Instead, the thermobaric system cannot punch a hopper or a protected target. "These thermobaric shells are quite powerful, but they have virtually no breakdown. If the special part breaks and explodes, then this simply explodes, but does not punch anything. Such shells punch some even a small obstacle to them," Mikhail Zhirokhov said.

The expert believes that the enemy will change tactics, in particular, it will increase kinetic energy. It is more likely that Shahd will gain speed and impress the targets on only a thermobaric projectile, but with the help of the whole structure - engine, fuselage. Instead, thermobaric shells are quite powerful, but in small planes. Mikhail Zhirokhov said that the combat part of ShahED - whether it is a fugas or thermobaric - does not affect whether it is more difficult to knock down the drone.

He is convinced that the Ukrainian military will observe how the tactics of the enemy will change and use certain countermeasures. We will remind, on December 3 it became known that the Russian military began to use in the UAV type Shahd a new combat part - almost 40 kg of thermobaric charge with three blasting. The thermo -braid projectile is an analogue of the SolnPepca charge.
